U.S.A.S. trainer Nieuport 80 E.2 serial N.10641. The Nieuport 80 was a late-war trainer based on the Nieuport 12. They served in large numbers with the French and American air services and many were exported after the war. Most of those in USAS service retained French markings.

Nieuport 12s were built in large numbers specifically as training aircraft with the gun ring removed. 8 in designation referred to
80 hp Le Rhône 9C. These differed in having flight controls for just the pilot in the rear seat (81 E.2),
or both pilot and passenger (80 E.2).
