Of the 194 produced tanks, only 61 tanks were sent abroad, leaving the US Army with 133 tanks. One was sent to the Aberdeen Proving Grounds where it was thoroughly tested from February 25th until May 3rd, 1943. After which it was concluded that the CTMS would not serve any purpose in the US Army and the entire batch of 133 was scrapped.
