The Waffenträger

crew are better protected than for a classic artillery piece, and
the weapon is more discreet, but the digging of the position drastically
increases the battery setting. time. |
For rapid
transport of the turret over short distances, it can be towed by
the Waffenträger. This method is however very complex because
of a very long handling which leaves the crew and the vehicle very
vulnerable to enemy counter-attack or counter-battery fire. |
