Le châssis du chasseur de char Marder III Ausf.H sera converti par Alkett en affût mobile pour le canon de 150 mm sIG 33/1 L12. Comme le Marder III ce véhicule avait un moteur monté à l'arrière et un compartiment de combat monté à l'avant bien que celui-ci était prolongé au-dessus du moteur. Ces canons d'assaut (Sturmpanzers) étaient versés dans les schwere Infanteriegeschütz Kompanies des régiments de Panzergreandier.
The chassis of the tank destroyer Marder III Ausf.H will be converted by Alkett into mobile mounting for the gun of 150 mm sIG 33/1 L12. As Marder III this vehicle had an engine assembled to the back and a compartment of combat assembled to before although this one was prolonged above the engine. These assault guns (Sturmpanzers) were versed in the schwere Infanteriegeschütz Kompanies of the regiments of Panzergreandier.

Ils servirent en Russie, en Tunisie, en Italie, et en France. En juin 1944, 12 exemplaires équipaient 2 compagnies du 38e Panzer schwere Infanteriegeschütz Abteilung de la 2e Panzerdivision. Ces engins seront livrés aux groupes d'artillerie des régiments d'infanterie mécanisée afin de leur fournir un appui-feu direct.
They were used in Russia, in Tunisia, in Italy, and France. In June 1944, 12 specimens equipped 2 companies with the 38th Panzer schwere Infanteriegeschütz Abteilung of 2nd Panzerdivision. These machines will be delivered to the groups of artillery of the regiments of mechanized infantry in order to provide them a direct fire support.
