(*) 67 specimens were converted into F-6A from reconnaissance and 93 delivered to the United Kingdom like Mustang IA
The first batch of "Mustang" (the denomination is British) were bought directly by the United Kingdom. An additional batch of 150 planes was ordered by the USA to be delivered to England. The 93 delivered specimens took the name of "Mustang I-A" , the others remained in the USA and were used under the name of F-6A or of "P-51" after the entry in war.
