The second prototype of the XP-40Q, converted from serial P-40K-1-CU equipped with Allison V-1710-121 engine with two-speed supercharger and bubble canopy. XP-40Q was the fastest of the P-40 series with a top speed of 679 km/h. But but its performance was not enough of an improvement to merit production.
