Pilot Serafino
Agostini was won over by British intelligence and on August 4th, 1944
he defected at flew this aircraft to Plombino AB, controlled by Allies.
On August 15th, 1944 this aircraft was transferred to Rome, then to
Capodichino AB, Naples. There it was marked VF201, painted with RAF
roundels, its radio equipment tune up to RAF frequency. |
