First prototype. Still c/o Aeronautica d'Italia SA Fiat, Mirafiori (Turin), March 1944. Seized by the Germans and wearing full Luftwaffe markings, the Fiat G.65 prototype fitted with a DB 603A engine was first flown on 28 March of 1944. It resulted heavily damaged during an Allied air raid on the Turin Fiat factory on 25 April.
