I/KG 40
On 11th January 1941 this aircraft attacked British convoy HC49 300 miles west from Ireland. The Beachy ship gave SOS signal. Short Sunderland Mk.I (L5805) from 201 Squadron RAF attacked German Condor and heavily damaged it. Germans flew hard to Bordeaux-Merignac, but crashed during landing.
