In the
autumn of 1937, a Japanese military delegation visited the Heinkel Flugzeugwerke's
Marienehebe plant. The Heinkel He-112 fighter entered in the inventory
of the Imperial Japanese Navy as the A7He1 Heinkel Navy Type He Interceptor
Fighter. He was assigned to the IJN Air Arsenal for evaluation. The
maneuverability of the Heinkel fighter was found to be inferor to the
Japanese A5M2, and cancellation of the options on additional aircraft
was recommended. |
