Kikugun Kokugijutsu Kenkyusho - Kikugun Kokugijutsu Kenkyusho (Army Air Technical Research Institute, known as Giken), Tachikawa near Tokyo, Japan, 1942-1943. One of the airworthy P-40s captured by the Japanese in the Philippines and Java in early 1942 and subsequently used by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Force (IJAAF) as test and training airframes.
