Airplanes/Non-aligned/Sweden/1-Fighters/V-48C/V-48C.htm | Up-dated: |
On February
6, 1940, the Swedish government ordered 144 Vanguard named V-48C. When
deliveries began, in September 1941, the American government imposed
an embargo on the export of the plane for Sweden. The American government
judges, in fact, that the help of Sweden to the Finnish forces then
at war against the USSR is contrary to the policy of the United States. |
