La suspension du M8 était identique à celle du M5 (de type verticale) avec un barbotin avant à 13 dents, deux chariots à galets de roulement (2 galets par chariots), trois rouleaux porteurs et une large poulie de tension arrière (en contact avec le sol) montée sur un bras articulé.

The suspension of M8 was identical to that of M5 (of Greenical type) with a front sprocket-wheel with 13 teeth, two bogies with 2 road wheels, three return rollers and a broad rear idler (in contact with the ground) mounted on a hinged jib.

Le blindage du M8 était relativement léger mais grâce au Twin Cadillac, la vélocité du char était excellente et n' oublions pas qu' il s' agit d' un char d' appoint et non de combat. La majorité des plaques étaient soudées.

The shielding of M8 was relatively light but thanks to Twin Cadillac, the swiftness of the tank was excellent and let us not forget that it is about an auxiliary tank and not a battle tank. The majority of the plates were welded.
