One of the 4
Ba-349 captured by the US Army 10th Armored Division - Hasenholz wood,
Germany, April 21 1945. Note that the frontal version is presented without its boosters, dropped after vertical takeoff (on a launch pad) and without its nose cover, letting appear its rockets ready for use. To finish after its mission, the Natter could not land in a conventional way and the cockpit was detached from the rest and the two parties re-joined the ground separately with a parachute, the internal rocket engine was, if not too damaged, reused. |
