"The Reims
was assigned in 1940 to the 108th Tank Instruction Battalion". Then rearmed with a 47mm SA 35 long gun. On June 15, 1940, orders were given to go with two other tanks near La Charité-sur-Loire and to hold 24 hours to protect the retirement of the army of General Michelin.On June 17, 1940, in Sancergues (Cher), the REIMS is unable to move, after engagement with the enemy. The other two tanks can not tow it, it is abandoned after neutralization of the armament. |
