Lt. Will W. 'Dub' Taylor flew the entire war with VF-4 and VF-41, downing six enemy aircraft: one Vichy French and five Japanese.
He flew this F6F-5 Hellcat (22) while with VF-4 aboard CV-9 USS Essex when he downed the Japanese aircraft.
